Erectile dysfunction medications seized in Glengormley

Large quantities of unlicensed medications have actually been taken by Department of Health officials during a search of a home in Glengormley.

A guy was spoken with by department officers about illegally importing and consequently impotence medicines via the internet.

The 47-year-old was also questioned about other medication offenses.

He will now be the topic of a report to the Public Prosecution Service.

The search was carried out by the department's Medicines Regulatory Group.

Its senior enforcement workplace, Peter Moore, stated: "It is vital that we get the message across that unlicensed medications can be dangerous.

"These kinds of products being sold, typically online, have gone through no quality control and there can be no warranty about their safety.

"You just do not know what you are taking or the conditions these products were made in. More importantly, you do not know the effect drugs like this might have on your health."
